The young female staff were very friendly. Food was delicious. We missed our favourite dish Pad See Ew but were happy with a Pad Thai, which was presented very nicely with traditional garnishes. Green curry was very flavourful.
The Jasmine Thai restaurant is a sweet little restaurant at the end of the boardwalk. It has lovely views looking over the boats & the water. We ordered the pad Thai & the red beef curry with steamed rice. It was delicious. The pad Thai comes out with an egg basket which is really cool. The red beef curry wasn’t too spicy, just the right amount. It was all served by lovely staff who were attentive. It was a lovely night out. We booked a table just to be safe.
The staff here are genuinely nice and polite, so credit where it’s due. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end for me. The portion sizes are extremely disappointing, especially considering the price. The dish I ordered had maybe three small pieces of meat in it, which is honestly hard to justify. When you’re paying restaurant prices, you expect to leave feeling full or at least satisfied, not still hungry and questioning where the rest of the meal went. Thai food is usually generous with protein and balanced with rice or noodles, but this felt more like a garnish of meat rather than a proper serving. The ratio of sauce and vegetables to meat was way off, making it feel poor value for money. If I’m paying a premium, I expect a decent amount of meat, not something that looks like it was measured out sparingly. The food itself wasn’t bad in flavour, but flavour alone doesn’t make up for portions this small. Dining out should feel worth it, and this just wasn’t. I left feeling like I’d paid full price for a half-sized meal. Unless portion sizes improve, I can’t see myself returning. Nice staff, but very underwhelming value overall.
My wife and I had our 37th wedding anniversary here and the staff made our day. The young man attending to our booking and the young lady who served us were both excellent. The meals were absolutely perfect and tasty. The coconut rice was great and the mongolian beef was brilliant. Very very highly recommended. Thank you to you all. We will definitely be back next time we are in Mandurah!
Absolutely loved the food at Jasmine Thai! Everything arrived pretty quickly and every dish was an absolute perfection! My personal favourite was the Red Curry Duck! The duck was truly beautiful and I just can’t wait to order it again! The squid was also cooked perfectly and it was just melting in my mouth! I literally can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu! This is some of the best Thai I’ve had in a long time!
