Red Manna is a wonderfully located seafood restaurant right on the waterfront in Mandurah. It's upstairs and you need to climb stairs to get up to the restaurant. The view of the sunset is wonderful and the venue offers indoor or outdoor seating with appropriate fly screens, fans and air conditioning to keep patrons cool in warmer months. Indoors, tables can accommodate larger groups. The decor is slightly dated however with some table varnish warping and cracking assumed from the sun or the application of the varnish itself. The menu is predominantly seafood however there are a number of other high quality options to choose from if seafood isn't your thing. Each portion was well sized and cooked to perfection. After ordering first drinks, entrees and mains were fast to arrive at the table. We had later booking and following mains we noticed the restaurant started to get quiet, strangely the service level of attentiveness dropped off at this time also. We waited a little while for our after dinner drinks and deserts. Having said this the wait staff were all very kind and caring and this did not hamper our experience though it may have been better managed with one waitstaff dedicated to look after specific sections of the restaurant rather than many wait staff looking after the same sections. I would still reccomend this restaurant for a special occasion. You can expect to pay around $100 per head with 2 drinks a main each, and entrees and desert to share including a coffee at the end.
We dine here often and it is probably the best restaurant in Mandurah. Food and Service is (almost always) excellent. We would give 5 stars if the food and service was consistently excellent. we have on the odd occasion had a subpar meal or attendant but on the whole it's a lovely venue for a special meal.
Food was good, but not exceptional. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout. If you fancy a nice restaurant to celebrate that special occasion, can’t go wrong with the Redmanna. And the view is just gorgeous!
Delicious food, excellent service and amazing outlook over the estuary from the balcony. A fabulous special occasion restaurant for our slightly early valentines lunch. Sambuca prawns, grilled nectarine salad, NZ sav Blanc, pistachio tart and coffee all excellent. Highly recommended!
Dined here with family in December. Upon arrival, we were advised that the restaurant didn't have any beef fillet or lamb available. These two meats make up the single two non-fish dishes on their entire weekend menu. When ordering, we were also advised they only had 3 portions of barramundi available. It was a Saturday lunch time booking. Seems unusual that such an award winning restaurant has no red meat and minimal serves of the barramundi on a Saturday. Unsurprisingly, there were only 2 other tables in the entire restaurant, and despite this we were still squished into the corner against a wall so unable to enjoy the beautiful views. Waitress was very lovely and accommodating by allowing us to order the snapper with the same sides as the barramundi. Considering the entire main menu has 9 seafood options, 2 non-seafood options and 1 vegetarian option, was disappointing that 2/2 non seafood options were unavailable. Also very odd that this restaurant is completely inaccessible for people in wheelchairs/walking aids. You have to walk up two flights of narrow carpeted stairs to access the restaurant. Great location, lovely staff, but overall experience didn't meet expectations considering the price points of their main dishes.
