I'm pleased to be doing a brewery and tasting tour of Perth and local craft beers are very exciting. Wedgetail Brewing in Mandurah is a popular venue for locals and their meals are of high quality. My fish tacos were delicious. Live music was a too loud, acoustics not great, but the crowd appeared to enjoy the Irish band. I thoroughly enjoyed each Pilsner.
A absolutely hidden treasure located in the least likely of places. Welsh owned, Welsh hospitality, a little piece of Merthyr located in downtown Mandurah Erskine/Falcon. Brews are exceptional, food exceptional and Dale’s jokes lame, but funny. Big shout out to Maddy and Hunter (who is so zany!!) Love this place … it’s a little gem of a place!!
Some things in life are just not necessary.. this is one of them. The worst meal we have had in years. The venue is cheap and dirty, floor sticky with old drinks spilt and not cleaned. Our food was cold.. something simple like chips, the young girl behind the counter was so rude. Walked off complaining I had the ordacity to say something, she then grabbed the steak sandwich and dumped it on another plate, no tongs no serving spatula, just 2 hands! I asked for a new sandwich too and I was told obviously her hands were clean because she was in the kitchen. Not sure how that proves anything, no hair net no obvious signs of hygiene.. the cold chips were just thrown back in the oil, came back burnt and dry. At over $30 there shouldn't be gristle in the sandwich. We were able to photograph it. One toilet had no paper at 6pm. The cleaning products were left in the bathroom but no cleaning completed with 2 hours left til closing time and no rush with less than 2 dozen people. There's no room to walk past the few people seated in front of the food counter.. no safe clear walk way. OSH!! Not necessary at all to go to Wedgetail Brewing.
We visited Halls Head from Norway, and we try to get local happening’s from Facebook. Came with no expectations but wow this place was great! With a pizza chef that dances when making the pizza, you know he was loving his job! Got recommended to try the dark lager and it was amazing! When asking for double red, which was out of stock, I got 3 samples of other beers before I decided what to order. Combined with live music, what more could you ask for? Thank you🙏
My Favourite Haunt in Mandurah I’m a regular at Wedgetail Brewing Co., and bloody hell, it never fails to remind me why I’m hooked. The spot’s a ripper—quiet as a mouse, with a big ol’ green tree over the road that makes ya feel like you’re in the bush, not a brewery. The vibe’s always bang-on, laidback but with a bit of a buzz, the kinda joint where ya reckon you’ll just pop in for one but end up camping out all arvo. One time, I had a yarn with some bloke who I reckon was one of the big kahunas running the show, and fair dinkum, ya can tell they don’t muck around. Everything’s top-notch—service, setup, the works. First time I rocked up, I thought, “Yep, this is me new local.” The crowd’s friendly atmosphere’s chill as a cucumber, and there’s no dickheads stirring the pot. Perfect spot to plonk yaself down with the iPad Air, smash out some work, and sink a frosty one without any dramas. And the beers? Ten bucks a pop—bargain! Get stuck into the Session or Drapht, but don’t stuff around—they disappear off the tap quicker than a snag off the barbie. Wedgetail’s not just a brewery, it’s a bloody community treasure, mate.
